- (2022-07-27) The telescope will remain in the long baseline (extended) configuration for the duration of the 2022B observing period, from October 1, 2022 to Q2, 2023. Applications for Director's Discretionary Time (DDT) will be considered during this period. DDT proposals should be submitted to the MWA Director (following the CfP template, with Parts B through D answered in brief).
- (2022-01-19) CFP-2022-A: The 2022A Call for Proposals is now open. This is for the allocation of observing time in the Guaranteed Time and Open Access categories, nominally during the period April 1, 2022 to September 31, 2022 (subject to availability of the array). - (2021-06-29) The allocation of observing time from the 2021-A Call for Proposals will be incorporated into the deep science commissioning phase for the new MWAX correlator. This period may extend for two to three months in mid-2021, and we expect to be augmenting these observations with additional commissioning observations that ensure all Science Working Groups have access to adequate high quality data to assess the MWAX performance. Following the completion of MWAX science commissioning, the array will remain in the compact configuration for the remainder of 2021.
- (2020-12-17) CFP-2021-A: Up to 500 hours of shared-risk observing time in the Guaranteed Time and Open Access categories, during the period 3rd May 2021 - 30 June 2021. This observing period is designated as 2021-A and is subject to the availability of the array as per the MWA Time Allocation Policy and the installation progress for the new MWAX correlator. Observations are only open to experienced observers with the MWA and will be the first to access the new MWAX correlator. As such teams wishing to access MWAX just post technical commissioning will need to be willing and able to assist with the scientific testing and commissioning of the new MWAX correlator. Note that the array will be in the compact configuration for this semester.
- (2020-08-18) CFP-2020-B: Call for Proposals for the allocation of up to 1500 hours of observing time in the Guaranteed Time and Open Access categories, during the period 10 October 2020 - 29 January 2021. This observing period is designated as 2020-B. Note that the array will continue to be in the Phase II extended configuration for this semester. Before completing a proposal, please see the guide on how to complete the technical parts of the proposal form provided on the MWA wiki. The deadline for submission of proposals is 14 September 2020. Proposals should be submitted by emailing a PDF document addressing the call to the MWA Principal Scientist.
